Flemish Beguines Chocolates
3 types of chocolates, in the form of beguines
The beguines were unmarried women or widows who, each in their house, lived sober and devout in
a closed district.
Across Europe, only the
Flemish (13th century) and Dutch beguinages preserved.
In 1998 they were accepted
as UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE.
